leader & artwork design for The Ring
about the leader
Director and screenwriter Frank Ketelaar set out to craft a gripping opening sequence for his new series De Ring, where key elements would unfold in a suspenseful manner. The images also convey a deeper conceptual meaning, adding to the intrigue.
Upon first viewing, the mannequins in the leader may seem like elements from the studio of the jeans brand BootCamp. However, they also serve as a powerful symbol, shedding light on how Simon objectifies women, particularly BootCamp lawyer Anna.
The blue grading is derived from indigo jeans, the colour of the typography of the orange stitching.

The promotion team of The Ring has requested that we create artwork templates to promote their leader.
We have utilized the same colours and typography and included the main characters. Anna is positioned in the center, being admired by the men on both sides.
